I found these blank dog tags at the craft store a while ago and I thought it would be fun to try and scrap them up.

I started by cutting a piece of paper the size of my tag.  I glued it on using Glossy Accents.  I distresed the edges using the Prima Rasp tool.

Next I cut another piece slightly larger than the dog tag and glued it to the back using Glossy Accents.  I distresses and rolled the edges.

I fussy cut some of the word art from the fancy pants papers and glued them on with glossy accents.

Next I covered the entire top with a thick layer of Glossy Accents.  Make sure that as you are applying it, that if you get a bubble, pop it or the bubble with dry on your piece.  Once you have it all covered, you will want it to sit somewhere it will be undisturbed so it can dry.  It will take several hours to completely dry.

You can see that I covered the tag that is sticking off the tag.  I covered it in the glossy accents and when it dries, it will be hard and able to stand the wear and tear of your necklace.

When it is dry you can put it back on the chain.  I added one of the Tim Holtz muse charms, and it looks so cute.  Now it's ready to wear.

I should note, that even though you don't have dog tags, the same technique could be used with a paper shape.  Once you add the glossy accents, it hardens nice and you wouldn't need the metal piece necessarily!

1.  Use Bo Bunny Serenity Luck Patterned Paper as your background.
2.  Trim six pictures into 3x3 squares.
3.  Cut out 4" diameter circles with patterned paper from the Bo Bunny Serenity line.  Fold the edges of the circles over and arrange on the page with the pictures.
4.  Use the alphabet stickers from Bo Bunny Serenity Combo Stickers as your title.
5.  Embellish the edges of your pictures with Petaloo Hydrangeas and Bo Bunny Serenity Jewels and Chipboard.

Directions:

Use black cardstock for the base of your layout

Trim Graphic 45 Genuine Article paper to 11.75x11.75, distress & ink the edges then attach to cardstock

Trim a strip of Graphic 45 Exquisite Motif paper to 1.5x12, distress & ink the edges then attach to layout

Trim a strip of Graphic 45 Optical Oddities paper to 1x12, distress & ink the edges then attach to layout

Sand the edges of a 5x7 photo, mat with black cardstock then attach to layout

Trim a piece of Graphic 45 Counting Down paper to 7x3, distress & ink the edges then attach to layout

Trim tags from Graphic 45 Bazaar of Wonders paper, distress & ink the edges then attach to layout

Add Graphic 45 trim, holding in place with staples from Tiny Attacher

Add tickets from Graphic 45 Tags 2 set using foam squares for dimension

Add Apothecary tag from Graphic 45 Tags 1 set using foam squares for dimension

Tie Graphic 45 trim though the holes of the clock tag then add clock tag from Graphic 45 Tags 1 set using foam squares for dimension

Ink two tags using a mix of Distress inks

Add die cut title, Graphic 45 trims and foam squares at the bottom to one tag to create a pocket

Slide the second tag behind the first one using a Graphic 45 Stamped Metal Brad to hold it in place - use this tag for your journaling

Add date stamp

I had so much fun working with Lori's sketch. I knew exactly what papers I would use when I saw it. My minds eye was the kit The Hens Dens sent me this month to work with.  These papers are from the Follow Your Heart "Be Happy" Collection. I used Happy Adorable, Be joyful and Honey Pink papers. I love using lots of embellishments on my pages.  I used Be Happy Brads, Maya Road and Petaloo Flowers along with May Arts Large Daisy Trim I cut into individual flowers.
