Heroes Layout by Nicolle Kramer using Graphic 45 Kraft Reflections

Heroes
Designed by: Nicolle Kramer
Featuring: Graphic 45 Kraft Reflections

I decided since it was November and we celebrate Veterans day that I would honor my Grandfather and Father by creating a layout. I believe veterans should be honored everyday though. Call me a bit biased since both of my grandfathers,my dad, uncles, cousin and friends have served. My grandfather fought in World War II (left photo) and my dad ( right photo) they both were in the Army. As you can see in both photo my grandmother stood behind both her husband and her son. That's one strong women. I have heard stories that when my father was drafted that she did have a very hard time with it. I am sure every mother would. It was a sad and scary time. I am grateful to have such wonderful people in my life as role models. They have all passed on and I miss them all dearly.

Another Great Design Team Sketch Off Showdown featuring Kraft Reflections by Graphic 45

We have another Design Team Sketch off contest going on and would like your votes!

This is the inspired sketch, created by our own Design Team Member Lori!

In this Corner we have Sketch off Challenger #1:

I have never taken a card sketch and turned it into a two-page layout, but that is exactly what we did here, and I really enjoyed it.  The clusters on the card sketch inspired me to create embellishment clusters featuring fussy cut clocks from Graphic 45's Kraft line, which I accented with Petaloo vine sprays.  I used three different patterned papers for the background and accented some of the kraft paper with some ink to add color.  Finally, I used checked ribbon from May Arts as the strips that you see in the sketch, adhering the ribbon to the paper using staples and pleating.

And in this corner we have Challenger #2

I have to say this was a lot of fun creating a two page layout from a card sketch! Lori is so awesome, her sketches rock! This paper from Graphic 45 called Kraft Reflections is so much fun! You can make them what ever color you want just my adding some distress ink!

Cast your vote for our sketch off here!
I Love Challenger #1's layout
I Love Challenger #2's layout
