Just Remember I love you

Just Remember I love you pocket Valentine
by Lori McClellan
featuring Teresa Collins, Tim Holtz, and Petaloo

I have to admit, I love making Valentines.  This is one of my favorite things to do with my kids.  It has become tradition to mass produce the class valentines on Super Bowl sunday.  While the guys watch the football game, the girls craft the night away.  In my opinion, it is a total win-win situation!

So as the big day approaches, I am starting to plan out some Valentine ideas, and I thought I would share with you.  If you order supplies from The Hens Den, with their super fast shipping you can have all your supplies you need in time for a Super Bowl scrap-fest of your own.

Start by gathering your supplies.
Adhesive
Sewing machine (optional)
Circle punch

Create your pocket by folding a cardstock rectangle in half.  Sew around 3 sides, leaving one for an opening.  Use the circle punch to cut the tab at the top.  Tie the burlap ribbon on the side.

The base is a Tim Holtz journaling tag.  The Teresa Collins, I love you sticker, is popped up on the tag.  And to finish it off, I used a petaloo flower.  Add some adhesive to the back and stick the tag to the pocket.

All that's left is to add your name in the blank space on the tag, fill it with treats and give it someone you love.

Thanks for stopping by.  Remember to check out The Hens' den What's on Sale page  to find some great deals on supplies to make your own Valentines.

My Minds Eye - Follow Your Heart Layout

My Minds Eye
Follow your heart
12 x 12 layout
Created by Charlie LaBonte
We just got back from spending 3 days with my Son and his beautiful family.   Brandon and Melanie are such wonderful parents and they have blessed Glenn and I with 3 wonder Grand Children.  Logan and Ethan will 8 years old in 2 months and I am having a very hard time grasping just how fast time is flying.   This past weekend we celebrated our Grand Daughter's birthday. Autumn Grace turned 1 year old on December 1st.  She is such a sweet baby.  We all say that but honestly, we know of some babies that are not so sweet but we love them none the less.  Autumn smiles and giggles and gets into EVERY THING!.   She surprised her Mom by laughing at me.  What did I do to bring out such a reaction you ask?.  Not a darn thing.  Grandma's do not do anything to make their Grand Children laugh.   Especially at themselves.....If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you ....lol
In this picture she is 6 month old.   Barely being able to stand in this picture, she is walking and getting around quite well.  She will be running any day now, I just know it.

There a wonderful new flowers from Petaloo...one collection is ready to wear!!!

Please stop by the store and check out all the goodness we have for sale and we would love it if you would post your projects to our gallery.

Inspirational Cup of the month project with Cheri using BoBunny Serenity

Inspiration cup of the month project
featuring BoBunny Serenity

I love nothing more than to be inspired. So this month I choose to play with the Serenity Line by BoBunny. You may not have noticed before how inspirational this collection is. There are two die cut sticker sheets that are full of inspiration and I love them!

Here are the supplies that I started with, I cut the large green and blue circle from the Die Cut cut out sheet. I just love the green and blue. The base for this month is from the Cherry Blossom paper and the borders are from the garden paper. I just loved all the blue! I inked everything in Tim Holtz Tumbled glass distress ink and it was perfect for this month's project!

I hope seeing this month's project inspires you too!
