  Have you ever had a collection that is just perfect for so many photos ... every photo?  That is how I feel about the Simple Stories 24/SevenCollection !  I had this layout sitting on my table for a few days while I debated on which photo was perfect for this layout ... so many were that I could not decide!  So, here is my layout without a photo(s) while I decide on which photo will be the winner! :)

My son will be one of those kids who goes to prom in a duck tape suit with a date in a duck tape dress!  He has loved duck tape for several years now!

I couldn't wait to work with Simple Stories 24/SevenCollection ! At first I wanted to cut everything up, then I didn't want to cut anything up but once I dove into it and started creating I knew I was going to be happy with whatever I created with Simple Stories 24/SevenCollection!

Since the theme was about every day life, I decided to go with a few snapshots of my son on his phone as most pre-teens are these days! :)

June is a big month for us with our son graduating from the sixth grade and moving on to middle school.  It's bittersweet that he is leaving behind the only school he has known but it's very exciting to see him grow and move on.

This photo was taken after his sixth grade graduation ceremony in front of his school; I love how grown up he looks! :)

My son has been eyeing a pair of Oakley sunglasses for a while so this year he put all of his birthday money together to finally buy them!  He loves to wear them and always takes extra good care of them!

I used one of the stickers as inspiration for picking my photos and as the start of my journaling.

I created this layout of my son at Krispy Kreme when he was almost eight years old - donuts were such a special treat for him - pure happiness! :)

The journaling reads:  Happiness is ... going to Krispy Kreme to get donuts to share with your class for your 8th birthday and getting to eat one while we are there!   Feb. 11, 2009

These Are The Best Days Layout

Today I have my latest layout featuring MME's The Sweetest Thing Collection - I am so in love with these colors!!  They are not typical colors that I would use since I mostly scrap photos of my son, but these colors and patterns just work together so well that the layouts almost create themselves! :)

My layout was inspired from the MME Sticker that says " These Are The Best Days"

My journaling reads:

Good night milk - that's what we call it.  I love enjoying a warm mug of our good night milk on cold winter nights" (recipe on back)  Jan 13, 2011.

A little bit of a background - a few years ago my son was having a hard time sleeping and it took a toll on our family and we were at our wits end on how to get him to go to sleep.  Online I found this recipe for Mom's Warm Milk - I adjusted it a bit since I didn't think we needed that much sugar before bed.  Eventually my son started sleeping again but this had become our little night cap - looking back, yup these are the best days! :)

This month there is a new Chic Sketch created by fellow design team member Lori McClellan! The Hens' Den Design team will be sharing what we have created with this sketch. This month I received the amazing MME - The Sweetest Thing Collection to create with!  This line is gorgeous!!  I love the yellow and blue combos! 

I created this layout using inspiration from the left side of the Chic Sketch - loved that I already had these photos printed and on my desk when the sketch was revealed!

This layout is of our pup (lol pup that will soon be 8 years old) and the journaling reads:  Usually I cannot get a good photo of Oswald but on Easter weekend when I was eating left over Honey Baked Ham he sat in the middle of the kitchen & watched my every move!

I think I found his weakness ;) and I adore these photos!

For my son's 12th birthday dinner he picked an upscale steakhouse, so when we told the waitress that we were there for his birthday she thought it was so awesome that a 12 year old would pick this restaurant that she wanted to take a family photo - so glad she insisted! :)

I love this Shilling paper because of the three butterflies on the right side and there are three of us in our family - so it was perfect for a family photo!

This line comes with so many fun embellishments that I just had a great time layering it all on!
