Basic Grey - Picadilly - cup of the month project by Cheri Piles

Cup of the month project by Cheri Piles

I have to say, I am loving my cup so far this month!  Have you seen the Picadilly line in the store by Basic Grey???  I love the names of the papers, they are so cute!!

I used only three papers for this cup a cream card stock, Farm Life and Three layer cake... See I told you their names are cute!!

I love the "CHICK" on the cup!

Step one: Using your template trace and cut the back side of Farm life paper.
Step two: Cut a strip from Three Layer Cake and mount it on a strip of cream card stock.
  • This part is totally optional but I inked my edges with good old stand by Walnut Stain.

Step 3: punch 1 1/2 inch circles from the back side of Three layer cake and then cut in half.

  • Again, This part is totally optional but I inked my edges with good old stand by Walnut Stain.

Step 4: Now from the remaining piece of Farm Life paper punch with whatever size circle punch you like, the shapes or images you like. I punched some flowers, butterflies and a little Chick.

  • Again, This part is totally optional but I inked my edges with good old stand by Walnut Stain.

Step 5: ok so now that you have all of your layers you can start gluing them down.

Now... Notice, I had my "smart hat" on and after I glued my center strip down, I started my half circles from the center and left room for overlap when it sits in the cup!! Umm hmm, it looks good.

So there you go. Super Super cuteness!!

Wouldn't you agree?

Kayak Adventure two page layout by Krystle Thomas using Basic Grey Picadilly

"Kayak Adventure"
Designed by: Krystle Thomas
Featuring: Basic Grey's Picadilly Collection

I love the oranges and blues in Basic Grey's Picadilly collection, and thought that they would look great with these kayaking pictures from this summer.

Supplies:

Steps:

1. Cut two Basic Grey Picadilly double-sided patterned papers (Eat at Joes and Farm Fresh Eggs) in half and adhere them together to form your background.
2. Cut strips of coordinating Basic Grey Picadilly double-sided patterned papers (Breadbox and Breakfast Nook) and hand-stitch around each strip.
3. Layer the strips of paper on the background to create a pattern behind your pictures.
4. Distress the edge of your photographs and crop two pictures.
5. Mat your smaller pictures using the other side of Basic Grey Picadilly's Farm Fresh Eggs double-sided patterned papers and hand stitch around the edges.
6. Layer the pictures on the layout.
7. Fussy cut flowers from Basic Grey Picadilly Home Sweet Home double-sided patterned paper.
8. Adhere the fussy cut flowers to the layout using pop dots.
9. Add Basic Grey Picadilly Metal Flowers to the embellishment clusters.
10. Finish layout with a title and journaling.
