"Time to Go" Layout by Nicolle Kramer using Echo Park Playground

"Time to Go" Layout

Designed by: Nicolle Kramer

Featuring: Echo Park Paper Company Playground Paper Collection.

I was going through my box of old photos and came across this photo of my children playing on a merry go round at the park. This photo goes perfectly with the colors and design in the Playground paper collection. My son Bret is upset because we had to leave.

Supplies:
Echo Park Playground Papers: Hopscotch, Capture the Flag, Tag Journaling cards, Merry Go Round
Card stock: Full 8x11 sheet white card stock
Chipboard: Echo Park Chipboard Accents Summer Accents
Stickers: Echo Park Alpha and Element Stickers
Brads: Echo Park Epoxy Summer Days Brads
Flower: Jillibean Soup Red Bean Blossoms

Misc: Blue/ red ink, twine, red sharpie, trim, acrylic paint

Preparing papers:
1. I took the Hopscotch paper and measured 2” in on all 4 sides which gives you and 8x8 square to cut out of the center.
2. I cut off 1” off of Capture the flag on top and bottom of paper so it ends up being a 11x11 piece.
3. With the 8x8 piece of hopscotch paper I cut a bracket shape which measures 6x6. I then took an 8x8 piece of white card stock and cut it a half inch bigger all the way around the bracket shape to mat the smaller bracket.
4. I cut a 5x4 mat for my photo.
5. I fussy cut the merry go rounds from the merry go round paper. Took the 12x12 waste scrap and border punched to use side B.
6. Cut a journal tag out from the tag and journaling card paper.
7.I cut the little strips found at the very bottom of paper with the same design. (waste strips) I used the designed part.

Assembling the layout:
1. The hopscotch paper is used for the base . I distressed and inked the outer edges all the way around the outside of paper in red.
2. Take the capture that flag paper glue and center it on top the hopscotch paper.
I distressed and inked the outer edges in blue.
3. Glue the smaller bracket shape to the bigger one (distressed and inked the edges) and used foam squares for dimension and attached to left center of the capture that flag paper.
4. Glue the photo to the mat with foam squares, centered and adhered it to bracket shape
5. Add the strips at the bottom and side of photo but first border punched them.
6. Add the trim to the bottom of photo as well.
7. I used the light green mini alpha stickers for the title in the top left corner over the picture.
8. Add the chipboard accents around the top left of the bracket shape and an element cloud sticker under the sun.
9. In the bottom right corner of photo embellish with chipboard accents, red bean blossom and epoxy brads.
10. Add journal card to bottom left under bracket shape.
11. Embellish the fussy cut merry go rounds with small epoxy brads of matching color and make into a banner to add to bottom right of layout. Add strips of paper element stickers to finish.
12. Splatter white acrylic pain on top right corner.
