About 2 months ago my daughter decided to dye her hair pink. Yes pink like Easter egg pink. I am all for freedom of expression so I figured why not? Kayla is 16 years old and well if her hair falls out it will always grow back. Hee Hee! This year I bought a new tree for the holiday. If you know me I love the color pink. So yes you guessed it. I bought a pink Christmas tree. I thought it would be a cute idea to get a pink haired girl next to the pink tree and take a picture. I believe its going to be one PINK holiday.

I made this layout without using any Christmas or Holiday related papers. The techniques I used in this layout scissor distressing, fussy cutting, tearing, layering and I used mist on the red flower. For inspiration I search the internet for sketches.

 To get an ornament type effect I cut 3 hexagon images from Honey Pink paper and cut bakers twine different lengths. I made bows and added to top center of hexagons.

Preparing and assembling your layout:

• I used 12"x12" Your Song paper for base.
• I used the tear technique on the Pink Striped , Be You, Flourish and Doily papers. I layered them so you can see all the papers plus the background base paper.
• The photo is matted with black bazzill paper that's 1/4" bigger all around.
• I fussy cut 5 hexagons from honey pink paper, 2 doilies from doily paper, 1 frame from adorable paper and a flowery  image from Be joyful paper. 
• I layered 2 doilies, 1  frame and  2 hexagons  under the photo. I adhered the photo on top the layers with foam squares and adhered the fussy cut image a bit over the bottom left of photo.
• For extra embellishments I added brads and gems sporadically around photo. Refer to top photo. I used alpha stickers for the title and placed them to the right of the photo. 
• For the top right of layout I strung 3 hexagons from bakers twine to give and ornament type effect. I also added 7 rows of gems with 3 or 4 gems in each verticle row to add a festive look.
•  Finished off adding the daisy lace trim to left side of the photo. Adding flowers and a decorative clip to top left of photo.

I had to get a picture of my Jolie in her new outfit from her Birthday. She just turned 10. Jolie is the youngest of my 4 children. I love the color pink. The peace sign is one of my favorite symbols and of course love. Have to spread lots of it. She is just so very lovely.

Preparing and Assembling your layout:

This layout requires a lot of fussy cutting, layering and banner pennants. When assembling your layout please refer often to the photos above for placement. I also scissor distressed almost all edges of the papers.

• Use Be Happy Flourish paper as base and distress all edges. 
• Fussy cut half hazard around the hexagons from the Striped Pink Paper B side. I cut a shape of about the size of 10"x10". Attach to the center of the base paper.
• Cut a 5 1/2"x5 1/2" piece from Never Forget Paper. Attach to center of Striped Pink Paper B side.
• Attach a Be Happy Transparency to the right on the Never forget paper.
• Cut a 4"x4" piece from Your Song Paper and attach to the left on top of the Never Forget paper and Transparency.
• Cut photo to 3 1/2" x 5" and mat with pink Bazzill paper 1/4" larger around. Attach on top of Your Song Paper.
• Fussy cut 6 individual hexagons from Honey Pink Paper and a cluster of 4 hexagons from same paper. Attach the cluster to top left of layout as shown above. The others you will embellish with all over the page.
• Fussy cut 5 doilies. Four from Happy Doily paper and 1 from Your Song Paper.
• Fussy cut images  from Be You and Never Forget papers.These will be attached at the bottom of the photo on your layout.
• Cut 6  little 1"x1"banner pennants from Happy Doily paper B side. Punch two holes and attach them together using bakers twine. I used 3D foam tape to attach to top right of layout.
• Cut 2 larger  3"x 2 1/2" banner pennants from  Be You paper B side.
• Cut a 10" piece from both May Arts Ribbons , Satin Grosgrain Coral and Antique/ Olive  Ribbon. Cut  each side to look like pennants. Attach one to the other and add to layout under photo.
• Cut 5 individual flowers from May Arts Daisy Vintage trim. Add gems to centers and embellish the page as pictured.
• Attach a decorative clip to top right of photo. Add a decorative brad to the right of the photo.
• Use a sketch for inspiration.

Preparing your page components:

• Use Be Happy- Follow Paper for your base side B and distress all edges.
• Cut 8"x6" piece from another piece of follow paper using side A graph/grid looking paper.
• Cut 10"x 4 1/2"  and a 1"x10" from Honey Pink Paper using blue/white striped side.
• Cut  1 1/2" x 11" piece from Striped Pink paper.
• Fussy cut around the image on Follow Paper.
• Cut (3) 1 1/2" x 12" pieces from green bazzil basics paper and border punch.
• Cut 2 Transparency frames. Place 1 transparency over photo and adhere.
• Cut 8 1/2" from Maya Road Large Daisy Lace Trim
• Fussy cut 1 hexagon from the Striped Pink paper.
• Fussy cut 2 medium light blue doilies from the Happy Doily Paper.
• Cut a piece about and inch bigger from white bazzill paper for the photo mat and border punch around it.
• Cut a piece about 1/4" bigger then your photo and mat your photo. 
• Layer flowers from bigger to smaller on top each other and put brad through center.
• Attach one of the blue doilies to a white doily.

Assembling your layout:

• Center and attach the Follow Paper side A 8"x6" piece of paper to base Follow side B.
• Attach the 10"x 4 1/2" piece of honey pink paper blue /white striped side toward the bottom over follow follow side a paper.
• Attach You are my sunshine transparency on the far left on top of the honey pink paper. Attach the green border punched paper at the top and bottom of the honey pink paper.
• Attach the striped pink paper above the honey pink paper and slightly behind it at a bit of an angle with left side a bit higher then the right.
• Attach the  1"x 10" honey pink paper on top of striped pink paper at a slight angle with the right side slightly higher. Attach the last green border punched piece at top.
• Attach the border cut and green mat to photo and attach with foam squares in the center of layout. 
• Attach the white and blue doily at top left of photo and embellish with 3 flowers.
• Attach fussy cut image from follow paper side A at the bottom right of photo. Embellish with layered stickers  flowers and brads as shown. 
• Attach the large daisy vintage lace trim along bottom of photo.
• I used a sketch for inspiration.

Preparing the components to your page: 

• Use 12" x12" "Be Happy" Your Song paper for your base and distress all edges.
• Cut 8"x8" piece from Striped Pink paper using the side with the grey hexagons.
• Cut a 2" x12" piece from Adorable paper using striped side.
• Fussy cut a large pink doily from the Happy Doily Paper.
• Fussy 2 hexagons from Honey Pink Paper
• Cut  (2) 1" x12" pieces from pink and red bazzill basic papers and border punch them.
• Cut 12" piece from Maya Road Large Vintage Lace Trim.
• Cut a mat from black bazzill basic paper to 1/4" larger on all four sides of your photo.
• I used green bazzill basics to border punch green leaves to add to my flowers.
• Fussy cut banner from top right of Be Your Paper
• Fussy Cut small frame from Adorable Paper.  
• Layer petaloo flowers smaller on top of larger and attach with brads.                          

Assembling your layout:

• Attach  2" x12" piece from Adorable paper to base Your Song paper.
• Attach 8"x8" piece from Striped Pink paper near  the top right corner of layout.
• Glue and attach the 1" x12" two border cut pieces from pomegranate and pink about and inch below the top of the layout. Attach the large daisy vintage trim over  the border punched paper.
• Attach with foam squares your matted photo  near top right of layout. 
• Attach the 2 fussy cut hexagons from Honey pink paper 1 to right bottom, the other to the top left corner. 
• Attach the fussy cut frame from adorable paper to bottom left of picture.
• Attach large pink fussy cut doily to fuschia crocheted doily and attach to bottom left of photo and layout. Glue paper doily and maya road cream flower on top of that. Cluster and attach your fuschia petaloo flowers to both sides of cream flower as shown in picture above. Tuck under and glue leaves. Attach layered stickers onto the fussy cut frame. Reference second picture above.
• Attach fussy cut banner and layered sticker to top right above picture.
• Add a decorative brad and layered sticker near top left of layout.
• I used a sketch for inspiration.
