These are the products I used to create with this month.

Kayla's has been bugging my hubby and I since she's turned 16 for us to take her for her permit. There was a slight delay because we couldn't find her Social Security Card. Go figure it was right in front of our faces. She finally went to take the test on Saturday, January 26th. Kayla was so excited that she only got 1 wrong on the test. She did better then her 2 older brothers. Mike (my hubby) took her out the next day to practice. I am just glad he does because I don't have any patience for that sort of thing. Kayla has a lot of practice ahead of her. Mike takes her in his 2008 Dodge Caravan he uses for work. We recently bought a new 2013 Dodge Journey and because it's smaller that's what she will be learning in from now on. She's one lucky girl.

Some of the techniques I used in this layout are distressing both with scissors and ink, lots of layers, double matted photos. Don't you just love that beautiful big bright blue Petaloo flower and the little white velvet flowers in the cluster with the graphic 45 chipboard tags. The cluster on the left side of the layout came together nicely. When I embellish I keep in mind what the topic of the layout is and go from there. I used the chipboard key, number tag, time piece flower and button. To me the age you are able to drive represents the numbers, the key represents the vehicle and the clock how time flies.

A closer look at the bottom cluster.

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to check out The Hen's Den store for these and other fun items. There's also a Valentine Blog Hop on February 14th.  I hope you can come join us in the fun!
